Friends of Hoboken Charter School (FoHCS) is a parent-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that
operates exclusively for the benefit of HCS and its students.
The Friends of Hoboken Charter School hold monthly Zoom meetings. If you are interested in joining the Friends of HCS Officers to discuss our upcoming events and how you can get involved, please send an email to FOHCS@hobokencs.net and we will send you a link to join.

Stronger Together: Volunteering at HCS
Join us for an evening connecting with fellow K-12 parents, celebrating HCS volunteers, and learning more about ways to get involved this school year! Light bites and refreshments will be served, and come grab some new HCS swag!

Who should attend?
This event is for all K-12 HCS parents and caregivers, whether this is your first year with our community or your 13th, and for anyone who has previously volunteered or is interested in learning how they can get involved for the first time.
Why should you attend?
Together, we will: Enjoy light bites and refreshments with fellow K-12 parents, both new and returning; Thank our school year 2024-2025 parent volunteers for all of their tremendous efforts; Learn more about how to volunteer and support our kids’ and school’s success; and, Walkaway with new friends, actionable next steps to get involved, and new HCS swag!

Volunteer with FoHCS
Parents, your active involvement in FoHCS is one of the best ways to support our school community! We have volunteer opportunities suited to any level of commitment you can manage. Whether you’re donating your time or making a small financial contribution, every bit helps.
Volunteer to Be a Class Parent
Class parents help socialize updates and coordinate participation in events and fundraisers from other parents in their classes. They’re a critical communications channel through WhatsApp for FoHCS and the school.

Volunteer to Plan, Lead, or Help With Other Events
Throughout the school year, we have a lineup of exciting events for both kids and parents, including dances, scavenger hunts, and social nights out for moms and dads. Not only are these events a blast — they’re crucial for raising funds for HCS.
But here’s the thing: We can’t do it without you! We need enthusiastic volunteers to help plan and coordinate these events. No matter how much time you can spare, your contribution is invaluable.
