Due to the fire, the hurricane, flooding, etc. there have been some required adjustments to the Service Learning calendar. First off, I wanted to let you know ASAP that WATER WINGS has been postponed from Dec. 8th to the first Saturday in March. AND as Ms. Grode conveyed to you in an earlier email there have been some changes to the events side of our MLK studies…. The curriculum remains in tact — thus, the learning part of service learning remains unadjusted. However, since I organize the march via the mayor’s office, particularly the dept. of emergency management — logistically this is not feasble this year. Thus, PLEASE see the attached service learning agenda for the year.
ALSO many of you kindly purchased student artworks via the DISCIPLES OF PICASSO exhibition at Gallery 1200 — those works are now here at the St. Anne’s campus and available for pickup. We are VERY grateful for your patronage of the art program!
AND lastly, have a wonderful Thanksgiving — as a community we have been hit very hard from various directions — but we have remained a community and strong one at that! And for that, I am truly thankful!
