On Thursday, September 6th, 2012, a three-alarm fire broke out at The Hoboken Charter School’s 713 Washington Street building, badly damaging several floors and displacing the K-8 program’s nearly 200 students. The exterior facade hides the devastation behind a curtain. These are photos from inside.

With a building to restore and teaching resources, general supplies, desks, computers, art supplies, musical instruments and so much more to replace, we certainly have a daunting task ahead of us. For anyone interested in lending their support of goods or services, please contact the Friends of the Hoboken Charter School Donation Coordinator Caroline Halstead at [email protected]. For those wishing to make a monetary donation, please visit us at Friends of Hoboken Charter School to contribute.

The fire temporarily took our building and materials, but it did not take our spirit. With your help, we will rebuild Hoboken Charter School stronger than ever.
