On 4/29/15, from approximately 300 essays submitted, 29 teachers from Xavier High School’s students’ past middle/grammar school life were honored with an Ignatian Educator Award. The students were charged with crafting a descriptive essay about a teacher who made a lasting impact on their lives. Along with the English Department Chair and Xavier’s president, Jack Raslowsky, our own Mr. Matt Persico was honored by his past student, Brian McIntyre, at a ceremony and reception at Xavier High School, NYC.
