Hoboken Charter School Students Present at Girls Who Code Gala

HOBOKEN, NJ – March 16, 2017

On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, Hoboken Charter School students Maya Espinel and Lucy Hartigan presented their coding project “Get the Lead Out” at the Girls Who Code Gala in New York City. Last spring after hearing about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, Maya and Lucy built a website to educate their peers about lead poisoning. Their work received national recognition and has has been featured on the Girls Who Code website, the Huffington Post and the History Channel:
